Dinner Money Prices

Dinner Money:

1 day = £1.75

2 days = £3.50

3 days = £5.25

4 days = £7.00

1 Week = £8.75

Children can be casual dinners. This means children can have packed lunch or dinner on whatever day they wish. They do not have to have one or the other for a whole term. All that we ask is that the Office are notified first thing in the morning, so that the kitchen knows how many meals to prepare.

Casual dinner children must pay on the day. They can bring their dinner money in an envelope with their name, class and amount and give it to their teacher during registration and the money will then go directly to the office, inside the register, at 9.00am.

Alternatively, they can bring their money to Mrs. Jaldevi in the Office.

Please note: as of September 2016, the school only serves vegetarian meals.

Medical Diet

If your child would like a school dinner but requires a special medical diet due to a food allergy/intolerance, please click on the form below. You can either print it yourself or we will provide one for you in the school office. This form needs to be filled out and signed by a health professional. City Catering will do their best to provide options for your child but this may not be possible for children with very restricted diets.

If you would like more details, please contact Jessica Mhesuria (Registered Dietitian, City Catering) on 0116 454 5068.

Please note that the Disclaimer form below is only to be filled out by parents/carers if you choose not to fill out a medical diet school meals request form and feel you can manage your child's dietary requirements without a special menu.

Did you know?...

If your child is entitled to Free School Meals, the school will receive £1,300 Pupil Premium money to spend on him/her.

What if I qualify but don't want my child to have school dinners? This is completely fine, they can bring a packed lunch but we still urge you to register your child so that they receive the £1,300.

How will we spend the £1,300 on your child?

  • We will subsidise the full cost of school visits (excluding Drayton Manor Park).
  • Your child will receive a Free School Meal (saving you more than £350 a year).
  • Provide a range of educational games and reading books to borrow and take home.
  • We will provide extra support in class.

The money is designed to support your child's achievement in all aspects of school life.
