At Bridge Junior School, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our enrichment activities help children discover new interests, develop their talents and build confidence.

After-school clubs

We offer a wide range of free after-school clubs during the year. Our sports clubs include:

• cricket;
• football;
• tag rugby;
• girls’ sports;
• skipping;
• badminton;
• multisports;
• archery;
• and many more.

Children can also enjoy wider activities, including sculpture, art and board games. The clubs available may change during the year so that more children can try something new. Information about clubs and how to apply is shared with families through Weduc.

All after school clubs are provided free of charge to parents.

Competitions and tournaments

Children have opportunities to represent Bridge in sporting competitions and tournaments. These experiences help children develop their skills, teamwork and confidence.

Music

All children in Year 5 take part in tabla lessons. Children who would like to develop their skills further may also have the opportunity to attend smaller-group sessions.

Forest School

Mrs Chauhan leads our Forest School sessions. Children learn outdoors, explore nature and take part in practical activities. These sessions help children develop independence, teamwork and resilience.

Bikeability

Children have opportunities to take part in Bikeability training. This teaches them how to ride safely and confidently and how to make safer choices when cycling.

CLS workshops

We work with CLS to provide engaging workshops linked to history, geography and art. These practical experiences bring learning to life and help children explore their subjects in new ways.

School Council

Our School Council gives children a voice in school life. Representatives listen to their classmates, share ideas and help us make positive changes. This supports our school ethos: Use Your Voice.

Eco Committee

Our Eco Committee and Eco Leaders help us care for our school and the environment. They encourage everyone to save energy, reduce waste and make more sustainable choices. They also help to plan and lead environmental projects across the school.
