    Leicester Family Hubs

    Leicester City Council’s Family Hubs bring different services together in one place. They offer information, advice, activities and practical support for families.

    Family Hubs are available to all families with children and young people aged 0 to 19, or up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

    How can a Family Hub help?

    Family Hub staff can provide information and support with:

    • parenting and family life;
    • children’s learning and development;
    • behaviour, routines and relationships;
    • physical and emotional health;
    • special educational needs and disabilities;
    • money, benefits, work and housing;
    • domestic abuse and family difficulties;
    • courses, activities and holiday programmes;
    • finding other local services.

    Some families may also be offered more focused one-to-one help through an Early Help Assessment.

    You can visit a Family Hub and ask for advice without being referred by the school. Activities and courses change during the year, so please check the Family Hub activities and courses page or telephone the centre before visiting.

    Family Hub Navigators

    Family Hub Navigators can listen to what your family needs and help you find the right service. They can also make referrals and speak to other services on your behalf when needed.

    Support through school

    If you are unsure where to begin, please contact the school office. Our Family Support Worker, Caroline Parker, may be able to support you directly or help connect you with a Family Hub or another suitable service. We will listen without judgement and help you find the right support.
