  • Uniform

    At Bridge Junior School, our uniform helps children feel that they belong to our school community. It also helps children look smart, feel ready to learn and represent our school with pride.

    We want our uniform to be simple and affordable. Clothing with the school logo is welcome, but it is not required. Plain items can be bought from supermarkets or other shops.

    Everyday Uniform

    Children should wear:

    • a royal blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan;
    • a plain white polo shirt;
    • black trousers or a black pinafore dress;
    • plain black school shoes;
    • a black or white hijab or taupee, if worn.

    Please write your child’s name inside every item of clothing.

    PE Kit

    On PE days, children should come to school wearing:

    • a plain white T-shirt;
    • black shorts, tracksuit bottoms or leggings;
    • black plimsolls or trainers.

    A branded or logo PE kit is not needed.

    Hair and Jewellery

    Long hair should be tied back, particularly for PE and sport. Jewellery should be kept to a minimum for safety. Children may wear plain stud earrings, but they must be able to remove them for PE.

    Items worn for religious reasons are welcome. They may need to be covered during PE or sport to keep everyone safe.

    Children should not wear make-up or nail varnish to school.
