Our school meals are cooked and served by Aspens.

Our school menu

Our current menu runs on a three-week cycle. It includes:

• two hot meal choices each day;

• a jacket potato with beans, cheese or tuna mayonnaise;

• hot pasta with tomato sauce and cheese;

• vegetables or salad;

• freshly baked bread;

• yoghurt, cut fruit or a dessert.

The menu includes vegetarian food and fish choices. It does not include meat dishes.

How to read the menu

1. Find the correct date under Week 1, Week 2 or Week 3.

2. Find the correct day of the week.

3. Look across the page to see the meal choices.

The letters A to E show the meal’s impact on the planet. A means a very low impact. E means a very high impact.

Please ask the school office if you need help understanding the menu.

Food allergies and special diets

It is very important that we know about any food allergy, intolerance or special diet.

Please contact the school office before your child has a school meal if they:

• have a food allergy;

• have a food intolerance;

• need a special diet for medical reasons;

• need help choosing suitable food.

What parents need to do

1. Tell the school office about your child’s needs.

2. We will give you an Alternative Menu Form.

3. Complete the form and return it to school with any medical evidence requested.

4. We will send the information to the Aspens kitchen manager.

5. Aspens will review the information.

6. We will tell you which menu your child will receive and when it can start.

Please do not assume that a special menu has started. Wait until the school confirms the start date.

If your child has an allergy involving one of the 14 main allergens, Aspens may place them on its Allergy Free Menu.

If your child has more complex needs, Aspens may need to prepare a menu especially for them. This is called a bespoke menu. It can take up to 10 working days to prepare. The start date may be later if special food needs to be ordered.

For an intolerance or a personal food choice, Aspens may share the standard menu with you so that suitable meals can be identified.
