Children can be casual dinners. This means children can have packed lunch or dinner on whatever day they wish. They do not have to have one or the other for a whole term. All that we ask is that the Office is notified first thing on Monday mornings, so that the kitchen knows how many meals to prepare for each day per week.
All dinner money must be paid on Mondays only. Children can bring their dinner money in an envelope with their name, class and amount and give it to their teacher during registration and the money will then go directly to the office, inside the register, at 9.00am.
Alternatively, they can bring their money to the Office. Payment can be made one week at a time or in a block for several weeks if more convenient.
Please note: as of September 2016, the school only serves vegetarian meals.
If your child would like a school dinner but requires a special medical diet due to a food allergy/intolerance, please click on the form below. You can either print it yourself or we will provide one for you in the school office. This form needs to be filled out and signed by a health professional. City Catering will do their best to provide options for your child but this may not be possible for children with very restricted diets.
If you would like more details, please contact Jessica Mhesuria (Registered Dietitian, City Catering) on 0116 454 5068.
Please note that the Disclaimer form below is only to be filled out by parents/carers if you choose not to fill out a medical diet school meals request form and feel you can manage your child's dietary requirements without a special menu.

You do not need to renew your application each year. Once we issue a free school meal voucher, it remains valid until your child leaves school, unless your circumstances change and you no longer meet the qualifying criteria.
